Email Server and Security using open source components

OOAC implemented the project for an Electronics Component Manufacturer. The objective was to migrate 50 users and their mails from Mdaemon to Linux system. The implementation was based on Ubuntu 8.04 and hardened with Bastille Linux. The SMTP and IMAP components chosen were Postfix and Cyrus. Email security was supervised by Amavis, Spamassassin, Razor, clamav, Pyzor, Selected RBL and hardening the postfix instance. Shorewall and portsentry were installed for security and active response. Squirrelmail with Out of office and auto reply was configured as the Mail User Interface.

Content Filter with Dansguardian and Squid

Captive Portal using Doloradius and Coovachilli

OOAC LLC implemented captive portal for one of its clients using doloradius and coovachilli. The implementation was done on Ubuntu 12.04.Shorewall was used to provide firewalling, link load balancing as well as separation of the LAN and Guest Networks. Coovachilli was used to grab intercept browsers of unauthenticated Guest users and direct them to the AAA page. Coovachilli was integrated with doloradius and MySQL so granular user access schemas could be configured, with a cupon based system, as well as detailed reports of usage.
