OOAC, LLC implemented linux firewall for one of its clients to provide perimeter security. Shorewall was used as the firewall to check on traffic in and out. This ensured quality of service and involved multiple security zones. Delimiter zones with access control was used.

Content Filter with Dansguardian and Squid

OOAC helped its client with content filtering using Dansguardian and Squid. This was implemented on Ubuntu 12.04. Dansguardian was used as a content filter while Shorewall and fail2ban was used to provide security and bastille was used to harden the system

Captive Portal using Doloradius and Coovachilli

OOAC LLC implemented captive portal for one of its clients using doloradius and coovachilli. The implementation was done on Ubuntu 12.04.Shorewall was used to provide firewalling, link load balancing as well as separation of the LAN and Guest Networks. Coovachilli was used to grab intercept browsers of unauthenticated Guest users and direct them to the AAA page. Coovachilli was integrated with doloradius and MySQL so granular user access schemas could be configured, with a cupon based system, as well as detailed reports of usage.
