Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 12c uninstall is a tricky one if you are doing manual removal. I have seen oracle inventory does not list OMS install when trying to deinstall, this happens when OMS install is crashed during the installation.
Here are the steps to deinstall Oracle 12c when Oracle deinstall procedure does not work.
SQL> drop user MGMT_VIEW cascade ;
SQL> drop user SYSMAN cascade ;
SQL> drop user SYSMAN_APM cascade ;
SQL> drop user SYSMAN_MDS cascade ;
SQL> drop user SYSMAN_OPSS cascade ;
SQL> drop user SYSMAN_RO cascade ;
SQL> drop synonym DBSNMP.MGMT_EMREP_OOB_MONITORING;
SQL> drop tablespace mgmt_ecm_depot_ts including contents and datafiles cascade constraints;
SQL> drop tablespace mgmt_tablespace including contents and datafiles cascade constraints;
SQL> drop tablespace mgmt_ad4j_ts including contents and datafiles cascade constraints;
Generate a SQL file drop synonyms.
SQL> set linesize 120
SQL> COLUMN OBJECT_NAME format a40
SQL> column owner format a25
SQL> set head off
Now run generate SQL to drop invalid synonyms belongs to OMS.
SQL> spool /tmp/drop_synonyms.sql
SQL> select ‘drop ‘||owner||’ ‘||OBJECT_TYPE||’ ‘||OBJECT_NAME ||’;’ from dba_objects where status=’INVALID’ and object_type=’SYNONYM’ order by 1 ;
SQL> spool off
SQL> delete from SCHEMA_VERSION_REGISTRY where COMP_NAME=’Metadata Services’;
SQL> delete from SCHEMA_VERSION_REGISTRY where COMP_NAME=’Authorization Policy Manager’;
SQL> delete from SCHEMA_VERSION_REGISTRY where COMP_NAME=’Oracle Platform Security Services’;
From the operating system, run following delete commands to remove oracle software belongs to oracle management server.
$ rm -rf $ORACLE_BASE/Middleware/oms11g
$ rm -rf $ORACLE_BASE/Middleware/oracle_common
$ rm -rf $ORACLE_BASE/Middleware/Oracle_WT
$ rm -rf $ORACLE_BASE/Middleware/agent11g
$ rm -rf $ORACLE_BASE/Middleware/.gcinstall_temp
$ rm -rf $ORACLE_BASE/gc12cinst
The above steps cleanly removes oracle software and data dictionary associated with oracle management repository.
